Siege of Imladris Frequently Asked Questions

​

-Who is hosting this event? The local Columbus chapter and friends are hosting this event, to inquire about volunteer positions, Event Staff, and more please email rivendelldag@gmail.com

-What do I need to sign in? Ticket information is on our Event Page. At sign in you just need government-issued identification. If you haven't preregistered you'll need appropriate funds to enter the event on the day of arrival. Credit cards will be accepted.

-How do I get into the Feast? Tickets for admission into the Grand Feast are limited! Order yours today at our ticket page. Please ensure you check the box for "Feast" to ensure your seat. Ticket information is on our Event Page

-Where should I park? There will be onsite parking and you will be coordinated by Event Staff on where to park. There is no parking in the camps, UNLOADING ONLY, then you must move to designated parking. This will be highly enforced.

​

-Is this child friendly event? There are definitely aspects that are child-safe but there will be mature themes present. Minors aged 15 and under are admitted for free and camp, but MUST be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian and must still have a signed waiver. Minors who wish to participate in fighting who are 16 and over must have a notarized waiver.

-Is there drinking at this event? There are, for ID holders ages 21 or above. Drinking bands must be worn at all times and will be administered by Event Staff upon entry. There are no glass bottles allowed on grounds. Decorum drinking vessels and garb is required at all times.

​

-Can I bring my own fire ring? Yes you may, we encourage you to! Fire rings must be on-ground, above ground, or dug (with the exception that the pit must be refilled before leaving). If you do not have one please see Event Staff upon entry to get your fire ring. (While supplies last)

​

-What about the weather? Siege of Imladris is an outdoor event and is held rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges will be given for weather. In the event of rain, we advise ponchos, rain boots, and rain covers.

​

-Will there be plenty of food there? Yes! We are working with local food trucks, feast caterers, our bar, and campground staff to provide top notch-food drinks, and deliciousness for all. A variety of beverages (including liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic) will be served at our central bar as well as in the Grand Feast. To purchase entry into the Feast please see the section above. Donations to the bar will be gladly accepted. -Will there be shopping? Yes, many vendors have already signed up with our lead vendor coordinator to provide decorum garb, weapons, and an assortment of medieval treasures. For vendor information and sign-up please email rivendelldag@gmail.com

-Can I use a credit/debit card to buy tickets, food, and merchandise? Our food vendors do accept credit cards. Most merchandise booths do also accept cards (however that is subject to vedor preference). There will also bean ATM inside the central showerhouse.

-Is there camping at the event? Yes, this is primarily a camp-out event. Camp Master for groups will register their group at sign-in. There are restrooms and showers on site for those who require them. For directions to the showerhouse please ask an Event Staff member to direct you. If you wish to camp alone please email rivendelldag@gmail.com

-Are there water/electric hookups? No, there is one central water hookup and electric hookup at the central tavern. IF you require either for medical or emergency purposes please contact event staff or reach out to rivendelldag@gmail.com

-Are RV's or wheeled campers allowed on-site? This event is "primitive camping"-only. You may keep your RV/camper in the parking lot.

​

-Is there swimming? Jackson Lake Campground has a swimming lake and pool. Swimming pool and water park on grounds available for an additional cost, payable to the campground.

​

-Can I bring my pet? Pets are allowed on site, so long as they are well behaved with proper tags, identification, and kept on a leash at all times.

​

-What is not allowed on site?

  • Alcohol for minors. You must be 21+ to drink within the campgrounds. If entering with alcohol, you must present government-issued identification at sign-in for a drinking wristband. 

  • Vending of any kind (food, drinks, merchandise, etc.) For vendor information and sign-up please email rivendelldag@gmail.com

  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia.

  • Weapons of any kind (including but not limited to firearms).

  • Fireworks or other explosive incendiary devices.

  • Air horns.

  • Golf carts, dune buggies, off-road motorcycles, Segways, or hover boards.
